About the Knights

Currently, Knights of Columbus meetings are held in the parish hall at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of every month.

The St. Wenceslaus Knights lead the holy rosary before every weekend Mass; run a monthly pro-life can drive; host the annual Culture of Life Dinner, and participate in various youth, family, community, and church activities.

The St. Wenceslaus Council was founded in 2007 through the efforts of the parish family and former pastor, Father Michael Phillips. It is named after our own parish St. Wenceslaus. Our council works closely with the parish members and the Iowa City Catholic Community. The Knights provide funds for various projects and are active participants in their parish.

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

How to Join

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.
