Online Giving

Our parish now has an Online Giving system through Our Sunday Visitor!  Click here to visit our Online Giving portal.

With this system, you will be able to make donations and participate in offertory via ACH transactions, debit card, or credit card.  You can choose to set up recurring transactions or even give a one-time gift as a guest.  It is secure, user-friendly, and convenient!

Online Giving FAQs

What are the advantages of Online Giving?

Online Giving makes it easy for you to fulfill your financial commitments to the parish even when you are unable to attend Mass here.  You do not need to write a check or have cash available.  Giving electronically also helps the parish staff budget more effectively.

How are my contributions automatically deducted from my account?

When you create your account, you enter your credit card and/or bank information and then specify the amount you wish to contribute.  Your contribution will be transferred from your account to the parish bank account.

Do I have to use a credit card?

The Online Giving system provides the option to use both credit card and direct withdrawal (ACH).  You do not have to use a credit card for contributions.

When will my contribution be deducted from my account?

The Online Giving system provides you the ability to select the date you would like your contribution to occur.  You will receive an email notification prior to each contribution date, and your account will be debited on the date you specify.

If I do not write checks, then how do I balance my check book?

You will receive an email notification prior to each contribution date and also a confirmation email that your gift has been processed.  These reminders will help you to remember to record the gift in your check register on the appropriate date.  Electronic contributions are also recorded on your bank statement and in your Online Giving reports.

What if I change bank accounts?

Simply login and update your bank account information in your profile.

What if I want to stop using Online Giving?

You may cancel your authorization by deleting your credit card and/or bank account information along with your donation dates.  Your contributions will stop immediately and the history will be secured.

How do I get started?

Simply click here to create an account!  You may also choose to make a one-time donation as a guest.

I currently give to St. Wenceslaus via ACH transactions (direct withdrawal) through Farmers & Merchants Bank.  Are these transactions affected by the new Online Giving system?

No, starting up Online Giving for our parish has not affected current ACH transactions set up through Farmers & Merchants Bank.  However, we encourage you to consider setting up ACH transactions through our new Online Giving system instead!

Why should I make the switch to ACH transactions set up through the Online Giving system instead of going through Farmers & Merchants Bank?

First, Online Giving is an automated process as opposed to manual, which means that the risk of any errors is reduced.  Further, if you set up ACH transactions through Online Giving, you can modify the amount you'd like to give without having to contact the bank or fill out any paperwork--it can be done at your convenience right on the computer!  You can also log into your Online Giving account at any time to access your giving record for tax purposes, etc.

How do I make the switch?

Please contact both our parish office at (319) 337-4957 and Farmers & Merchants Bank at (319) 341-5900 to let both of us know that you would like to cancel your current ACH transactions.  Then, simply visit our Online Giving portal at, enter your banking information into the system, and choose how much you'd like to give and one which dates.  We would like emphasize that the system is completely secure--church staff does not have access to any of your banking information!
