Fortnight for Freedom Picnic on June 25

On Sunday, June 25, we will celebrate the Fortnight for Freedom with a picnic beginning at 5:00 p.m. in North Market Square Park.

Meat, condiments, drinks, plates, and table service will be provided.  Please bring a dessert or salad to share--as well as your own lawn chair.  Kids' games will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The Fortnight for Freedom is an initiative started by the USCCB.  It lasts from June 21 (the vigil of the feasts of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More) through July 4 (Independence Day).  During this time, parishes across the country arrange special events highlighting the importance of defending religious freedom.  This year's theme is "Freedom for Mission."
